Top 3 Motorcycle Events for Charitable Causes

If there are people who know how to have fun on two wheels, then they are the bikers. But this is not all they do. They are also up to doing some good in the world. Here are some charitable events that bikers host every year.

North Dakota is usually full of noise and fun every August thanks to Sturgis. This is one of the most popular motorcycle rallies in the region. A lot of activities and wildness marks the event, but amidst it all, the crowd still comes together for a charitable course.

The Mayor’s Ride calls for people to ride with the Mayor, where participants pay around £138 or $150 as the registration fee. The money collected is donated to the Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department.

Ride for Life

Since the first-ever Ride for Life event in 1988, a lot of donations have been made to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). The event has become an enormous Harley-Division fundraising activity. Towns that participate include Maryland, New Jersey, Northern Virginia, Southern New York, Delaware and Pennsylvania.

The fundraiser aims to help families and individuals who have muscular dystrophy issues.

Tour of Honour

Not everyone is up for a big dramatic event even if the results are for the benefit of people in need. Sometimes you could do a charitable activity in solitude, and this is what Tour of Honour appreciates.

Any motorcyclist is allowed to take a touring trip around the United States, visiting memorials and monuments while donating for a good cause. Different organisations benefit from the funds collected each year. Some of the beneficiaries include Operation Comfort Warriors, the Fallen Heroes and Fisher House Foundation.

Apart from the three listed above, you can participate in others like Ride for the Red and Ride for Kids. The most important thing to remember is that you are serving the human race.
